Sharkey Insurance History



Harold Lee Sharkey an Eastern Montana native from Winnett opened the insurance doors to Montana residents in 1975. Harold's vision of a local company serving a local community has led Sharkey Insurance into it's second and third generations. His eldest son Ron (Current President) came to work for his father upon his graduation from the University of Montana. Ron's hard work and dedication has carried the company through the death of his Father and these challenging economic times. He credits his success to his staff and the wonderful citizens of Montana who continually protect their personal and professional lives through Sharkey Insurance. As technology continues to grown and shape the future of small business around the world comes a third generation to Sharkey Insurance. Ron's son Ryan has stepped into the business as our IS/IT specialist. He is currently in his Senior Year at the University of Montana seeking a degree in Information Systems. Growing Sharkey Insurance online has made us capable of reaching out to Montana residents we couldn't back when Harold started the business. Ron and Ryan plan on keeping true to Harold's vision while expanding out of Missoula and reaching out to all Montana Residents who call the Treasure State their home.
